- Description
- This project requires hand crews with chainsaws and other applicable cutting tools for removal of midstory hardwood and midstory pine tree species in mature pine stands to improve habitat for red-cockaded woodpeckers. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to leave and/or cut appropriate trees that are identified in the specifications. This project will consist of an estimated quantity of 312 acres. This work will be done within the Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area of the Shoal Creek Ranger District-Talladega National Forest in Alabama.
