NA SOUCRES SOUGHT NOTIFICAITON: THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Academy is soliciting responses from industry on capabilities within the commercial market place to obtain services for transportation disaster training and instruction in the areas of Family Care, Police Media Relations, and Employee Assistance at major disaster scenes. The NTSB Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance is in the process of supporting the NTSB Academy by providing transportation disaster response education and training with state of the art curriculum to domestic, foreign government agencies, and industry representatives. In an effort to capture, formalize, and share experience and expertise in transportation disaster response areas, the NTSB Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance is seeking information from industry regarding their capabilities and how they would work collaboratively with NTSB investigators and staff to develop and deliver cost-effective, state of the art training, curriculum, and instruction to supplement our Subject Matter Experts in the delivery of courses dealing with transportation disaster assistance. The NTSB Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance is interested in only those contractors that have experience in responding to transportation accidents/disasters or working within a major commercial transportation system in accident/disaster assistance. Further, contractors must have experience in supporting training centers, and delivery of professional training and instruction. Contractor must meet the following specific requirements for each appropriate core area of instruction: Family Care/Mental Health Instructor - Must have LPCMH, LCSW, MD - Psychiatry, Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent licensed credential(s). - Must possess skills/authority in death education/counseling, grief education and therapy, and protocols dealing with traumatic loss. - Must be familiar with, and have working knowledge of, the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act of 1996. Police Media Relations Instructor - Must utilize an established training program that has been successful in training Police/LEO forces and community first responders. - Must have first-hand experience in coordinating post-accident media relations as a police/LEO Public Information Officer. - Must be a recognized (preferably published) authority in Police/LEO training programs. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Specialist - Must function as a provider of EAP services to emergency response agencies and/or Police/LEO organizations. - Must have LPCMH, LCSW, MD - Psychiatry, Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent licensed credential(s). - Must have delivered EAP services on scene at major transportation accidents or major disasters. Please do not submit a response if you cannot fill the specific requirements identified in any one area listed above.
