Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research to determine the existence of potential business sources to accomplish the modification/integration of one (1) KC-135R Block 40 GATM aircraft. The government intends to compete this requirement utilizing the Flexible Acquisition Sustainment Tool (FAST) contract. The prime contractors represented on the FAST contract are Technical & Management Services Corporation, (TAMSCO), Science Application International Corporation (SAIC), Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Support Systems Associated Incorporated, (SSAI) and Modern Technologies Corporation, (MTC). The method of acquisition is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a other than fair opportunity or competitive procurement under the FAST contract. Information concerning the FAST contract can be found at the following website: http://fast.hill.af.mil/. Contractor will be responsible for modification/integration of aircraft to include; 1.) Worldwide Mission, (capability to fly required range with the full payload), 2.) Test Capabilities, (Capability to perform worldwide avionics/communication testing with sufficient test monitoring equipment and electric capacity to support test mission), 3.) Tanker Air Refueling, (Capability to perform worldwide air refueling mission with DOD and Allied aircraft), 4.) DV Mission Support Capability, 5.) Crew Accommodations, 6.) Electrical System, 7.) Avionics/Navigation Systems, 8.) Command/Mission Communication Systems, 9.) Ancillary Equipment, 10.) Modified external configuration and 11.) Aircraft Threat Detection and Physical Protections. A Requirement Correlation Matrix will be forwarded to interested contractors outlining requirements when requested. The government is not responsible for any contractor costs associated with travel or with providing material relating to this announcement or future information requests.
