- Description
- This is a Market Survey/Sources Sought Announcement. The Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking potential commercial sources capable of providing a single, all-inclusive Wide Area Network (WAN) communication service for the sixteen (16) IHS hospitals and health care facilities located in the States of Montana and Wyoming. The Billings IHS has maintained a Wide Area Network (WAN) for several years, which consisted of one (1) major carrier and several smaller independent phone companies. The number of phone companies involved has resulted in high user management and maintenance of each of these communication circuits. The services provided by the potential contractor shall include, but not be limited to providing one (1) major telecommunication carrier that can provide communication circuits that have T-1 capabilities with line speeds above T-1 speed, redundancy to correct for a single point of failure, one central point of contact for technical service and billing requirements. Contract award shall be made to the telecommunication service provider that can handle the sixteen (16) IHS hospitals and health care facility communication circuit lines. Potential sources are invited to submit, in writing, a capabilities statement and a minimum of three references. There is no solicitation currently available at this time. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be issued, nor will respondents be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received. Responses are required by 2:00pm on Friday, January 31, 2003.
