- NOTE: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, ATTN: S. Bates, 114 Parkshore Drive, Folsom, CA 95630. Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and other resources necessary to construct and complete Folsom Substation Stage 03. The work includes but is not limited to sitework (remove and dispose of 115kV power transformer), concrete (bus pole foundations in 115kV yard); substation metalwork (modify 115kV main and transfer buses), substation electrical (furnish and install conduits for power and control cables); environmental (remove and dispose of oil contaminated soil associated with power transformer). All work must be completed by 30 June 2003. The magniture of this construction project is between $100,000 to $250,000. There will only be one award from this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids on an "all or none basis." This solicitation will be issued on or about 3 February 2003. Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closing date is on or about 3 March 2003. This proposed procurement is full and open. National American Industry Classification Code (NAIC) is 23492 and the applicable size standard is $27.5 million. The solicitation will be posed electronically at this web site. The specification and drawings will be issued hard copy. Information hours are 8:00 am thru 4:30 pm (PST) Monday thru Friday.
