Description
The San Juan National Forest, 15 Burnett Court, Durango, CO 81301 solicits services of Architectural and Engineering firms to provide Traffic Engineering services. The Government intends to award one (1) A&E contract from the solicitation. The contract will be a Requirements, firm fixed price contract with a base period and up to four option years. The maximum for each year of the contract shall be $100,000. No guarantee is made that any services will be needed. However, an traffic engineering services that are required, will be placed with the successful contractor. The types of work to be performed under the resulting requirements contract are: Traffic Impact Analysis, and the design of Acceleration and Deceleration lanes on CDOT administered Highways on the San Juan National Forest in Southwestern Colorado. Firms will be evaluated on the following criteria: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, including, where appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the use of recovered materials; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; provided, that application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project; and (6) Proof of successful completion of traffic impact analysis reports with CDOT in the last 5 years. List the highway locations and completion dates as well as a narrative of one of your projects describing the scope and requirements of the project OR, submit a copy of the completed traffic impact analysis. (7) Proof of successful completion of auxiliary lane projects designs that have been approved by CDOT within the last 5 years. List the highway locations and completion dates, and submit examples of the construction drawings and engineering reports for one of these projects. Those firms interested in responding to this announcement must submit 1 copy of Standard Forms 254 and 255 Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Projects by February 13, 2003.
