- Description
- General contractor to be evaluated based on references showing their experience as an on-call or indefinite quantity/delivery quick response firm for renovating commercial construction. Proposal amount will be in the form of a single multiplier to be applied against a unit price schedule for future work orders which include, but are not limited to, various types of minor alterations, repairs, improvements and maintenance work for U.S.P.S. owned and/or leased buildings throughout the South Georgia area (including 11 counties in South Carolina). There may be more than one contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. The total quantity of work, which will be required under this solicitation, is indefinite. The contract will be for a two year base period (with three 1-yr. renewal options) with an initial maximum contract amount of $500,000; minimum contract value of $10,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required. The contract can be increased with corresponding increase in payment and performance bonds. Small, minority and women-owned business subcontracting participation is encouraged. The subcontracting goals for this contract are minimums of 40% for small businesses, 10% for minority-owned businesses and 7% for women-owned businesses. Solicitation packages can be obtained from our printer, LDI Reproprinting, 770/939-5277 (credit cards are their preferred method of payment and they establish costs for packages). Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received and identity of awarded offerors will not be disclosed to anyone until contract award (about 3-4 weeks). Unsuccessful offerors and multipliers will not be released (FOIA Exemption 4) The U. S. Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all offers. ONLY OFFERS RETURNED PERSONAL HAND DELIVERY OR U. S. POSTAL SERVICE FIRST CLASS, EXPRESS MAIL OR PRIORITY MAIL WILL BE CONSIDERED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SOLICITATION. ANY OTHER CARRIERS WILL BE REJECTED.
