- This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with Southern Maine Marine, Inc., 2461 Portland Road, Arundel, Maine 04046, for 24 hour emergency service and maintenance for two (2) high performance boats (300 horsepower each). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Only written responses per e-mail address (mvelez@usss.treas.gov) received by 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time, December 23, 2002 will be addressed. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. See Note 22 (Sole Source Award). Note 22 is modified to read 5 days in lieu of 30 days.
