- Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13, Subpart 13.106-1(b), the U.S. Department of the Interior, BIA, Office of Indian Education Programs (OIEP) intends to contract on a sole source basis the services of Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch; 1732 South 72nd Street West; Billings, Montana 59106 to provide Special Education Related Services. These facilities are specifically equipped 24-hour facilities; which, are necessary and used for children who are medically infirm and who require frequent or constant medical care and intense behavioral management. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There is no solicitation regarding this sole source synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Only written responses received by 8:00 a.m. Local Time, December 23, 2002 will be accepted and considered. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. See note 22 (Sole Source Award). Note 22 modified to read 3 calendar days in lieu of 30 days. If no affirmative written response is received within 3 calendar days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to the proposed contractor without further notice.
