- Description
- The USCG MLCP in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for the Drydock and Repair of the USCGC WASHINGTON (WPB 1331), which is geographically restricted to a contractor facility in the State of Hawaii. Performance is expected to commence on 11 June 2003 and complete no later than 6 August 2003. The repair anticipated involves the following work items: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart; Hurricane Contingency Plan; Sea Trials ; Appendages (U/W) Air Test; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Inspection; Ultrasonic Measurement of Hull Plating Thickness; Hull Plating Renewal; Battery Space Bulkhead Repair; Sewage Tank Repair; Spray Rail and Stern Flap Installation; Starboard Forward Engine Room Bulkhead Repair; Tanks (Mp Fuel Service) Clean and Inspect; Tanks (MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow) Clean and Inspect; Tanks (Dirty & Waste Oil) Clean and Inspect; Strut Fitted Bolt Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Seal System Replacement; Propulsion Shaft Bearing Clearances Check; Propeller Clean/ Inspect; Port and Starboard Propulsion Shaft Removal and Reinstallation; Exhaust Flapper Valve and Spray Ring Assemblies Replacement; Aft Berthing Ventilation; Sea Strainer (All Sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<= 2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (> 2.5 Inches) Overhaul; Steering Gear (General) Overhaul; Rudder/Rudder Stock Removal and Reinstallation; Rudder Tube Repairs; Fin Stabilizer (General) Overhaul; Warping Capstan (General) Level 2 Inspect/Repair; Bilge Preservation; Potable Water Tank Structural Reinforcements; Potable Water Tank Preservation; Sewage Vacuum Collection Tank Clean and Inspect; Decks (All Exterior) Preserve, General; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve; Hull Plating, Freeboard Preservation; Rudders (Exterior) Preserve; Cathodic Protection/Capac System Inspect/Service; Temporary Services Drydock Provide; Drydocking/Hauling.
