The above equipment is for the National Weather Service (NWS), National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, MO. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Aeroflex RDL, the original manufacturer of the equipment. The specifications are proprietary to RDL and the Government does not have specifications or adequately detailed information to solicit bids from other sources. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available at this time. Any source able to provide the exact items listed, may respond in writing to the address stated herein, within fifteen (15) days of this publication. Interested firms must provide in writing its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to repair the specified equipment, and the name, telephone number and point of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided the equipment. This information may be faxed to (816) 426-7530. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an award to Aeroflex RDL, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice. The NAICS is 335999. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business.
