Description
NA To order solicitation, interested firms may either (1) fax requests complete with company information, shipping address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, and business size to Connie Kindelspire at (509)527-7226, or (2) email requests with all of the same information to Connie.L.Kindelspire@usace.army.mil. The Walla Walla District?s web page (http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp) may be used; however, it is requested that registration be confirmed with either a fax or an email. The Government cannot guarantee a bidder will make it onto the bidders list if registration is completed using only the web page. Solicitation will be available on or about Dec 30, with quotes due on or about January 29, 2003. The Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for a quantity of 102 each, twin 400-watt pulse starting metal halide lighting fixtures, Halopane #TW400PMMTPNKE39-HALT-OMVR-400/BU/PA dual 400 watt metal halide multi-tap fixture, or equal. The salient features include: 360,2 copper-free aluminum housing; borosilicate glass, aluminum lined, thermal shock resistant refractor with 1.2:1 spacing to the mounting height requirement, dual ballasted, high power factor, copper wound ballast s; housing rated at 55 C ambient; glass/aluminum reflector diameter not to exceed 18.5 inches; Ballast shall be two pulse starting, 400 watt, metal halide fixtures, capable of operating individual lamps for dual switching and auto timeout lamp maintenance as supplied at normal operating voltages. Auto time out device to be mounted within the ballast housing and capable of switching dual ballast units. One single aluminum housing to house both pulse starting units. Auto time out to cycle lamps for 15 min utes per lamp manufacturer?s recommendations concerning non-passive end of life failures. Each ballast shall be equipped with an automatic timer, integral to the light fixture that will extinguish the HID lamp for a minimum of 15 minutes ever 100 to 300 hours of operation time. To minimize the potential that the adjacent luminaries are extinguished simultaneously. The time interval between the two ?off? states shall be randomly generated after the completion of the previous ?off? state. Technical suppo rt site visit will be required from the Contractor to assist the Government with layout and to assure correct installation. The NAICS code for this procurement is 421610. Small business size standard is 100 employees. Procurement is 100% set aside for s mall business. See Note 1.
