Description
SYNOPSIS The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB CA. has a requirement for missile test telemetry transmitters using any of the Advanced Range Telemetry (ARTM) project Tier I modulation methods. The ARTM Tier I modulation methods consist of the Feher-patented Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (FQPSK-B, Revision A1), FQPSK-JR, and Shaped Offset QPSK (SOQPSK-A*). The transmitters must be small, rugged and flight qualified. The maximum transmitter volume is 7.0 cubic inches. Transmitters must be frequency-agile in 1 MHz steps over the entire required frequency range and bit rate-agile from 1 to 20 Mbps. The required transmitter RF power output is five watts. Transmitters must operate in either the 1435.5 to 1534.5 MHz frequency range or the 2200.5 to 2389.5 MHz frequency range. Input voltage will be 28VDC +/- 4VDC. Delivery date requirements are anticipated to start in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2003. Information on FQPSK technology transfer and licensing is available from Digcom, Inc., 44685 Country Club Drive, El Macero, CA 95618, Tel. (530) 753-0738.
