- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offers are due by 4:30 p.m., December 31, 2002. Offers may be faxed to (803)725-1807, Attention: Homer R. Gabard. Offer must include cut sheet, brochure or other information about Drill Rig sufficient for Government to determine if the offered equipment meets specifications. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3 with their offer. Warranty information shall also be provided with offer. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The solicitation is 100% set aside for small business for NAICS code 333132 with a size standard of fewer than 500 employees. The following item and specification information is provided: Item no. 01, Trailer Mounted Hydraulic Top Head Drill Rig with 140# Drive Hammer, Quantity one (1), Unit Price $__________. Price shall be FOB Destination to USDA Forest Service, Savannah River, 1-mile inside Aiken barricade, SRS, Aiken, SC 29802. Trailer: Width 5ft. maximum; length 10 ft. maximum; hitch 2 inch ball type; tongue weight 100 lb. maximum; auger rack weight 2000 lbs. Drill Rig: Stroke 76 inch minimum with hydraulic feed and pull back; pulldown 4000 lb. minimum; pullback 6000 lb. minimum; 18 hp minimum engine with electric start and alternator; 9500 lb. in torque; rotational speed, LO - 15 to 25 rpm, HI - 140 to 160 rpm. Accessories: Hydraulic cathead with rope; 140 # safety hammer with boom; auger guide; auger fork; two (2) 2 inch x 24 inch split spoon samplers; ten (10) 3" solid stem augers x 60"; one 1 5/8 inch hex drive cap; one combo spade/bullet type cutter head; one pilot bit connector and apex type bit; ten (10) 5 foot AWJ rods (50 ft); twelve (12) replacement bolts/pins; stabilizing jacks; pipe vise. Delivery requirements: 30 days after receipt of purchase order. FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition.
