- Description
- The J. E. Shrigley wetland restoration project consists primarily of excavating sediment from a closed drainage basin and placing the material in a cropland field to the south. The approximate excavation yardage is 31,460 cubic yards and the approximate average haul distance is 1800 feet. There is approximately 1320 feet of fence removal on the north side of the basin and some temporary incidental fence removal for sediment transfer on the south side of the basin. No site showing will be held. The site is located approximately 1/2 mile north and 2 miles west of Benedict in York County, Nebraska (SW 1/4 Section 11, T12N, R3W). Access will be in the northwest corner of the SW 1/4 in Section 11. Performance time is 45 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed with work. Price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. USDA participates in the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program; therefore, competition for this project is unrestricted and is not set aside for small business concerns. Contractor awarded the contract will be required to provide an alternative payment security in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
