- Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to Zygo Corporation, on other than full and open competitive basis, a contract for 18 each Optical mirror flats (uncoated) with the following specifications: Material: Zerodur expansion class 2; Size: 8 inch +0.000 inch; -0.010 inch diameter x 1.500 inch +/- 0.050 inch thick; Clear aperture: central 7.6 diameter; Surface 1 flatness: Lambda/20 peak to valley at 633nm over the clear aperture; Surface 1 Scratch/Dig: 40/20; Surface 2: Fine ground (#220 grit or finer surface polish); Edge: Fine ground (#220 grit or finer surface finish). Sole source is based on unique capabilities needed to meet requirements at NRL. See note(s) 22.
