Description

Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD 20670 has a requirement for sixteen (16) data acquisition systems (Airborne Video Tape Recorder) (AVTR) for usage in the fleet of Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics) F-16 A/B OCU (block 15) aircraft vehicles at NAS Fallon, Nevada. NAVAIR intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract to TEAC America, Inc. 7733 Telegraph Rd. Montebello, California, POC Barbara Cooper (323) 727- 4765. The data acquisition systems or ruggedized airborne video recorder will be required to record aircraft operational parameters and store said data for retrieval/download at a later time and require no periodic maintenance. The AVTR is to be non-invasive to the Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, have a simplified PC interface, is color compatible, 2-hour, 400 TV line resolution, records HUD, LMFD, RMFD and/or LANTIRN video, flight proven with high MTBF, with guaranteed support until 2020. Upgrades to existing AVTRs must have a simple process that is a form, fit, and function replacement with no aircraft modification. No telephone responses will be accepted.
