- Veterans Administration, VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a Commercial Item (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Philips Medical Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-03. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of the acquisition. Based upon this Solicitation No. RFP 600-052-03, the Government intends to award a contract for Preventive Maintenance & Repair of the Philips X-Ray H5000 CBU800Q, Integris BH5000, System-12. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The solicitation packet will tentatively be available on January 6, 2003. All proposals received by 4:00pm Pacific Daylight Time, January 21, 2003, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
