- Description
- The USDA Forest Service will contract the removal of approximately 1,000 cubic yards of sand from an area of approximately 30,000 feet in the southern portion of the spring pool. To insure the protection of both the ecosystem and cultural resources of the project area, dredging will be conducted utilizing specially adapted hydraulic pumps connected to handheld vacuum cleaner wands. Operators wading in the pool will handle the wands in such a manner to create little turbidity and downstream sedimentation. Material will be pumped to a spoil area, dewatered, inspected for artifacts, and removed from the site. This project is 100% set-aside for HUBZone certified small business concerns. Offers from firms other than certified HUBZone will not be considered. HUBZone small businesses must appear on the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns maintained by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The NAICS code is 234990. The Government esimate price range is $25,000 to $100,000.
