- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to The MathWorks, Inc. of Natick, MA. This acquisition is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7372. The NAICS code is 511210. The following items will be procured: The contractor shall provide software maintenance and support on The MathWorks Matlab License Number 215451 for the period of 01 Jan 2003 through 01 Jan 2004 for the following products: MATLAB, Simulink, Curve Fitting, Communications, MATLAB Compiler, Control System, Database Toolbox, Dials & Gauges, Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder, Excel Link, System Identification, Image Processing, Mapping, MATLAB Report Generator, Optimization, Simulink Performance Tools, Stateflow Coder, Stateflow, Signal Processing, Symbolic Math, Spline, Simulink Report Generator, Statistics, Wavelet, Real-Time Windows Target. Software maintenance and support must include unlimited telephone and email access to technical support engineers, new releases for licensed products, access to downloads of major releases, trials and prerelease versions of new products and upgrades. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package providing clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 2:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time on 20 Dec 2002. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, AFFTC/PKS (Evelyn B. However, the government will consider all responses received before the due date published in this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile and e-mail responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
