Description
NOTE: ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. See instructions at end of description of work. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to repair welds on tank plates as per shell drawings developed by Enterprise Engineering, Inc., in accordance with specifications and drawings. Tank is located at USCG, ISC Kodiak, ALASKA. Contractor will be required to employ services of Enterprise Engineering, Inc. to complete inspection of repairs and certify tank meets API 650 welding criteria, AWS D1.1 current editions, and will meet all requirements of the APOI 653 Fuel Tank External Inspection. TANK INSPECTORS ARE TO BE ON SITE DURING WORK AND TANK IS TO BE CERTIFIED UPON COMPLETION. Repairs include: shell weld repairs between the first and second course (8 feet high); cracks in the posts of the roof handrail (12); reinstall pressure vent pallet; repair of safety latch at roof handrail; and repair of coatings damaged by these repairs. Shell material is ASTM A516 grade 60. There are approximately 162 feet of welding repairs on the shell. Materials, workmanship, and installation shall comply with the latest edition of all applicable codes and industry standards and these specifications. Contractor is responsible for field verification of all material sizes and quantities necessary for the complete installation of this project before quoting. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None, except as noted in Statement of Work. Performance Period is 30 TO 45 days. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturers catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to laboratory data, MSDSs, references / qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards; Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), State of Alaska OSHA, ASTM, CFR, MIL SPEC, FED STD, and applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY JANUARY 3, 2003. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. Tentatively planned for JANUARY 14, 2003. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is $25,000 to $100,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately JANUARY 3, 2003.
