- Description
- The work includes all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to provide Environmental Testing and Cleanup Services to various facilities. Work includes, but is not limited to, air quality testing, presence of mold testing, cleanup of mold containing materials, lead-containing paint, asbestos materials, demolition of various building materials, and installation of new building materials in-kind by means of an ?Indefinite Quantity? type contract. Work is located at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery Maine. The solicitation will include a base period with options for up to two additional years. These services are not currently under contract with a commercial identity nor is the work being accomplished by Federal personnel. The solicitation includes a guaranteed minimum of 20 percent of the total maximum amount of the base period. This procurement is mixed with both construction and services work. Due to the size of the construction type work, the NAICS code for this procurement is 238190 with a size standard of $12,000,000. This acquisition is being conducted using full and open competition (unrestricted) and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.219-4, ?Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns.? The solicitation will include both Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Act work. See the solicitation for additional information. The response date shown above is an estimated date. Once issued the Bidders/Offerors interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this project can download the solicitation from the e-sol web site at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CONTRACTS OFFICE. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised for solicitation issued after May 31, 1998, failure to registered in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing our web site at http:/www.efdnorth.navfac.navy.mil or by referring to DFAR Subpart 204.73. Bidders/Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the DOD CCR Database with their Bid or Proposal. Those firms not currently registered in the CCR should process their application immediately to ensure registration prior to any award.
