- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to negotiate a contract to rebuild a barn to replace the original barn which collapsed from the heavy snows in 2001, at the John Hay National Wildlife Refuge in Newbury, NH. The intent is to duplicate the exterior architectural features of the original barn as far as practical. The proposed barn is approximately 30' X 50' with a gambrel roof. The original windows were saved and need re-pointing and refinishing before being incorporated into the new barn. Both the first and second floors are to be clear span. The foundation is a mortared fieldstone and needs repair and the first floor is concrete slab-on-grade which also needs some repair/replacement. Negotiations will be held with Stocker Woodworks of Sunapee, NH under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302. A fixed price contract is contemplated. No solicitation is available, however, interested firms may submit a written statement of their knowledge and capability within fifteen days of publication of this notice. This procurement is set-aside for small business. NAICS code is 236220; business size is $28.5 million.
