- Protective Cover appl to the LAU 128A/129A for the AIM-120 Missile. Solicitation F09603-03-Q-40238. Anticipated solicitation issue date will be 26 Dec 2002 and anticipated proposal due date will be 17 Jan 2003. Description: Item 0001, NSN: 5935-01-411-6300AL, P/N: 654446-5; Dim: 1.5" diameter X .885" thick. Material: Aluminum alloy and steel. Function: Part of Mechanical linkage that unlocks missile on both ends. Requirement is for 900 each. Delivery: Jan 2003. URGENT REQUIREMENT. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), "Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The qualified sources are HiRel Connectors, Inc. (34222) and Marvin Engineering (32067). Nothing in this notice contradicts other restriction, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g. if this is a small-business set aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors.)Note 1,22,26.
