- Description
- The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete construction work under Project No. PQWY 97-1026 entitled Remove Asbestos on Headers, Bldg 734 at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes 1) Asbestos abatement ? remove and dispose of asbestos containing materials and 2) Reinsulation ? install new thermal insulation and cover with rewettable glass cloth. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $500,000. The applicable SIC code is 1799/NAICS 56291. The Small Business Size Standard is $12 million. In conformance with FAR 19.1300, this acquisition is being considered for Hubzone set-aside. If your firm is Hubzone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: 1) SBA certification of Hubzone elegibility, 2) Capability statement of your firm, and 3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on response, the Contracting Officer will make a determination; if there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition, the acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition procedures. The period of performance is 90 calendar days. While funds are not currently available within the Air Mobility Command to fund this project, it is anticipated funds will become available by 18 Nov 02. If current fiscal year (FY 02) funds become available, contract award will be made no later than 30 Sep 02. If FY 02 funds are not available, this project will be funded with FY 03 funds. We expect to have FY 03 funding by 18 Nov 02. The solicitation will be available for download from the Internet by accessing the Government-wide Electronic Posting System website at http://www.eps.gov. Issuance of the solicitation will be on or about 08 Jul 02 with the closing date for receipt of proposals on or about 08 Aug 02.
