- PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGES LISTED BELOW: The United States Postal Service New York Facilities Service Office is seeking to prequalify General Contractors for Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC)/Job Order Contracts (JOC) for Repair and Alteration projects within the geographic area described below. The contractual requirements, construction cost and performance time for each project will vary. You must meet three minimum requirements to apply: (1) Your firm must be located within the following New York State Counties/Boroughs, and you must be able to work on projects anywhere within this area: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau, and Suffolk; (2) Your company must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five consecutive years; and (3) You must provide proof of bonding with a minimum aggregate dollar amount of $5,000,000. Interested firms that meet the minimum requirements must submit a Qualification Statement. Some of the factors used to evaluate Statements include financial capability, experience, and safety. To obtain a Qualification Statement package, submit a request by mail or fax to: USPS-NYFSO, Attn: L. Savage, 2 Hudson Place, 5th Floor, Hoboken NJ 07030-5502, Fax: 201-217-1109. Packages will be mailed after December 10, 2002. Completed Statements are due by January 14, 2003. Firms will be notified within 60 days of the due date. Only the most highly qualified firms will be prequalified. Being prequalified does not guarantee you will be awarded a contract.
