- Description
- Deliver F.O.B. Destination 12=94 x 18=94 x 3=94 flat granite markers = and 12=94 x 24=94 x 3=94 flat granite markers un-inscribed during the period January 15, 2003 or date of contract award through September 30, 2003. Granite must be obtained from quarries within the United States of America; must conform to the definition of granite as defined in ASTM C119-01; be standard grade, fine-grained material as classified by the National Building Granite Quarries Association; and have a uniform shade of light gray as defined in the specifications. This solicitation does not include inscribed markers or headstones. Estimated quantities for (L) markers are: 36 monthly =96 total 252. Estimated quantities for Type (J) Markers are: 70 monthly =96 total 490. This acquisition is 100 set-aside for small business concerns. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment necessary for the un-inscribed flat granite markers to be shipped to Hammond Monument and Lettering Co., 1450 Ridgeway St., Hammond, WI=20 54015. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 327991 and a size standard of 500 are applicable. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote. Request for a hard copy of the solicitation must be in writing to Mrs. Janice E. Corlew, Contract Specialist, and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) (non-refundable), payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." Please reference Solicitation Number IFB 786-52-03 on remittances. No telephone requests will be accepted. Hard copy solicitations will be issued via the ordinary mails on or about December 17, 2003. The solicitation may also be obtained FREE OF CHARGE, from VA's Business Opportunities System via the internet at the following URL address on or about December 17, 2003: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/solicitation?number=3D786-52-03. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. See Commerce Business Daily Numbered Note 1.
