- Description
- The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Innovative Web Applications, Inc. (IWA), 134 East Gate Drive, Los Alamos, NM 87544. The DOE has determined that IWA, a small business under North American Industry Classification System code 541512, is the only source capable of providing the required technical and computer systems management and expertise to maintain and enhance the current DOE automated directives systems. IWA holds copyright to the EXPLORIT software and licenses for the Directives Review and Comment System (REVCOM). IWA has specific expertise and knowledge in programming, redesigning, and delivering the current Gemstone database, and Smalltalk and Java programming languages. IWA has extensive experience in the design, deployment, and customization of EXPLORIT and REVCOM. DOE intends to negotiate only with IWA under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 and no other sources will be considered. A public solicitation is not available and requests for a solicitation will not be honored. This notice satisfies the requirements of FAR Part 5. The estimated value of the 3-year contract is $470,000 and is subject to funding.
