Description
USAID/Armenia intends to issue a solicitation for Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee completion contract for Microenterprise Development Initiative (MEDI). MEDI is to provide microenterprises in Armenia, particularly those owned by women and the working poor, with greater and reliable access to sustainable financial and business services. Expanded access to financial and business services will enhance the viability and growth potential for microenterprises in Armenia. It should be a 3 year activity focused on Microenterprise Business Development Services; Microenterprise Association Development, Microenterprise Policy Support/Action, and Microfinance Institutional Legal/Regulatory Framework Reform. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 541618. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list. Therefore, we recommend that you monitor the FedBizOpps site for all information relevant to desired acquisitions. If the Internet option is not available to you, you may receive an electronic copy of the solicitation and any amendments by e-mail or via U.S. Mail by faxing your request to (011 374 1) 543-871or e-mailing your request to Armen Yeghiazarian, Acquisition Specialist at ayeghiazarian@usaid.gov. You must confirm in writing to the contact person noted above that, you have received this solicitation through the Internet. The subject line should read ?Notice of Interest?, and the body should address physical address, as well as e-mail return address. Generally, the Contracting Officer will issue amendments to all those who have sent in the written confirmation of solicitation receipt. However, USAID does not guarantee that an amendment will be issued to you directly based upon written confirmation that you have downloaded the solicitation from the Internet. CO/USAID/Armenia anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about December 20, 2002.
