- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs has an ongoing program to furnish Prescription Eyeglass Services to those veterans that require them and are eligble for assistance. The Contractor shall provide prescription eyeglasses to the VA Stars & Stripes Healthcare Network (VISN 4)which includes ten (10) VA Medical Centers and sixteen (16) associated Outpatient Clinics located in the states of Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Wilmington, DE and Clarksburg, WV. Contract performance includes fabrication and delivery of prescription eyeglasses in strict conformance to eyeglass prescriptions provided by the VA Medical Centers and Outpatient Clinics. All lenses and frames shall be fabricated and furnished in accordance with the latest standards set forth in the American National Standards for Ophthalmic Lenses and Dress Ophthalmolic Frames. VA anticipates award of a single firm-fixed-price contract from this solicitation and will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The contract will contain one (1) Base Year and three (3) one year option renewals. The NAICS for this procurement is 339115. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
