- Ref: Federal Business Opportunities, Solicitation Number 02-ATAGS, Posted Date: Jun 11, 2002, Modification 01, Posted Jul 25, 2002. The intent of this notice is to remind/inform potential sources of the ATAGS suit that they will need to be fully qualified by the deadline stated below to be considered for the initial production effort. Also, the final drawing package is now available and will be furnished upon written request by email. A final drawing package will be provided to all prospective sources (offeror?s) that previously submitted a request. Reference Solicitation outlined qualification requirements for the lower-body, full coverage CSU-23/P Advanced Technology Anti-G Suit (ATAGS). It advised that prospective sources must satisfy the listed requirements in order to obtain engineering approval of their G-Suits. If a source satisfied all qualification requirements, they would be added as an approved Air Force source for manufacturing ATAGS. The document further advised that funding for the initial ATAGS production effort is expected to arrive in early FY04. Based on the above information, the Air Force plans to initiate contracting action for the initial procurement in 2nd Qtr, FY04. In order to be considered for this contract, any interested vendors must submit their suits/qualification requirements, along with the appropriate test documentation not later than 1 October 2003. In order to meet this deadline, all interested parties are again advised to aggressively pursue the qualification process. Offerors who are not qualified by this date will not be considered for the initial production effort. Interested parties are invited to contact by email the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for a copy of qualification requirements.
