- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at NOAA Gulf Support Facility, Pascagoula, MS. The performance period will be 36 calendar days with a start date on or about February 21, 2003 and shall be completed on or before March 28, 2003. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship OREGON II, a 170 foot, 34 ft beam (molded); propulsion ? diesel, single screw Bird Johnson CPP, Engine ? 2 ea caterpillar 3512 DITA JW , lufkin reduction gearw/1800 RPM bow thruster, electric service ? twin caterpillar 3408B/SR4 245kw, 450-480 VAC, cruising speed 10 knots; crew size - 17. Vessel's homeport is Pascagoula, MS. Basic contract items include Engine room ventilation duct work renewals, motor controller replacements, water-cooled heat pump installation, replace engine room deck plate, winch booth modifications, replace air compressor, renew forward reefer condenser, modify trawl winch cofferdam piping, HVAC Duct cleaning, Deck hatch and winch fdn repairs. All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection on December 18th through December 20th, 2002 and January 6th through January 8th, 2003 at Ship?s homeport Pascagoula, MS. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS on or about 12/20/2002. This award is intended for a firm fixed price contract using sealed-bid procedures.
