- Description
- The Bethphage Mission wetland restoration project consists of excavating sediment from a closed drainage basin and placing the material primarily in an existing irrigation reuse pit, which has approximately three million gallons of water. Contractor shall remove surface water and ground water as needed to perform the required construction. A small portion (approximately 827.0 cubic yards) of earth fill will also be used to construct a small earth fill mound in the southwest property corner. The approximate yardage is 30,990 cubic yards. The approximate average haul distance is 900 feet. Site showing will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Participants will meet in the Bethphage Mission parking lot, 1/8 mile south of the project area, or on the northeast side of Axtell on Road 23, Kearney County, Nebraska. Performance time will be 33 calendar days beginning the day after receipt of the notice to proceed with work. Price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. USDA participates in the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program; therefore, competition for this project is unrestricted and is not set aside for small business concerns. Contractor awarded the contract will be required to provide an alternative payment security in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
