- FLEET AND INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CENTER, JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA HAS A REQUIREMENT FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF 50 RELIEF VALVES IN SUPPORT OF THE NAVAL AVIATION DEPOT, JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA. THE NAVY INTENDS TO SOLE SOURCE THIS EFFORT TO HR TEXTRON, CA AS THEY NOW OWN THE PROPRIETARY RIGHTS TO THE FORMER BOEING PART NUMBER 1B48030-1 WHICH INCLUDES THE RIGHT TO MANUFACTURE AND REPAIR THESE ITEMS. THIS CONTRACT WILL BE A SOLE SOURCE, FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. THE CONTRACT IS ALSO INCLUSIVE OF ANY ADJUSTMENT AND TESTING REQUIRED. The Government has determined that it is not in the best interest of the Government to compete this contract due to the proprietary nature of the supplies.
