- This amendment to the solicitation is issued to change the contract start date to 12 December 2002 and contract end date to 11 December 2003 and to change Block 8 for the Offer Due Date to read 3 December 2002, 2:00 PM (MT). This amendment is the result of a solicitation transmission error. A solicitation for air filters to be used for air conditioning and heating units for a one-year period. The air filters are various sizes with specific construction criteria, the quantities are estimates and delivery is required within three weeks of the order with a contractor representative available at the delivery site to validate the filter count. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and DAC 97-13. A single award will result from this solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The North American Industry Code is 333411 and the Standard Industry Code is 3585. Anticipated award date is 12 December 2002. FOB Point required is destination, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, AZ. Vendors wishing to respond to this solicitation should fax their request to (928) 269-2287/2288 to obtain a copy of the solicitation or call (928) 269-2470. All responsible parties shall submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Only written quotes will be acceptable and must be received and identified by RFQ number M62974-03-T-4004 by 2:00 PM (MT) on 3 December 2002. Technical offers can be sent via US Postal Service to Commanding Officer, S-4/Supply 3KG, Box 99133, Yuma, AZ 85369-9133 ATTN: Lydia Rowland. Fedex offers may be sent to S-4/Supply, Contracting Division, Bldg 328 West, 2nd Floor, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ 85369-9133 ATTN: Lydia Rowland. Facsimile quotes are subject to the same rules as paper quotes. The telephone numbers for receiving facsimile quotes are (928) 269-2287/2288. The complete original quote shall be submitted if requested by the contracting officer. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that quotes (and any authorized modifications) reach the designated office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the quote must reach the office before the deadline specified in the solicitation. Pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. Any facsimile transmission must clearly state the solicitation number and the name of the contracting officer on the first page to ensure proper receipt. The Government reserves the right to make award solely on the quote.!!
