- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Morgantown, West Virginia, intends to award a contract to an offeror that can provide laboratory services for the FCI. This is a requirements type contract. It is anticipated that the award shall be for a base year and four options years, based upon the availability of funding. Services shall include, but not be limited to, the following. Provide supplies normally needed for the medical laboratory testing, including shipping forms, lab requisition forms, collection tubes, speciment cups, culturettes, and any other containers needed to obtain potential specimens for all types of testing provided by the offeror. Provide a technical/customer service representative to provide support and means to obtain supplies, as needed, to perform the necessary laboratory testing by the staff at the FCI. Perform routine and emergency laboratory specimen testing on specimens obtained at the FCI by a certified Medical Technician. The results of routine laboratory tests will be faxed to the FCI with 24 hours of determining the result. STAT results may be requested and must be provided as early as possible after receiving the specimen. The offeror will maintain confidentiality of the lab results. The results will not be released to any other party other than the FCI. The RFQ will be available on or after November 22, 2002, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the request for quotation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This require is 100% set-aside for small business.
