- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ Q10-03-14, and is issued as a Request for Quotations. The NAICS code is 333111. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The following clauses and provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial items; 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial items; the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability to meet requirements stated herein, and (2) price; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items. In Paragraph (B) of 52.212-5, the following apply: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-3 (Alt. I), 52.225-13, 52.222-34 and 52.222-38. All clauses and provisions reference in this announcement may be accessed at the following website: http//www/gsa/gov/far/current. Line Item Description: Supply and Deliver, F.O.B Destination, a total quantity of 19 'carousel' type transplanters with seats and skid soil closers like the Lannen model SK100 or Mechanical Transplanter model 5000 (Brand Names) or equal. Provide a Unit Price per transplanter, delivered F.O.B. Destination, and Descriptive Literature. Required Delivery Schedule: The Government requires delivery on or before March 1, 2003, approximately 90 days after receipt of order. Delivery Location: J. Herbert Stone Nursery, 2606 Old Stage Road, Central Point, Oregon 97502, located approximately 5 miles northwest of Medford, Oregon, between Jacksonville and Central Point, Oregon. Delivery shall be made on regular working days, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), David Knight, 48 hours in advance of delivery at 541-858-6184 or 541-858-6100. Packing and Packaging - Commercial: Material shall be packed for shipment in such a manner that will insure acceptance by common carrier and safe delivery at destination. Containers and closures shall comply with the Interstate Commerce Commission and Regulations, Uniform Freight Classification Rules, or Regulations of other carriers as applicable to the mode of transportation. Quotes and Descriptive Literature establishing Verification of Technical Ability to meet Specifications are due the Contracting Officer, Siskiyou National Forest, 200 NE Greenfield Road, PO Box 440, Grants Pass, OR 97528, by 4:30 p.m., local time, on December 23, 2002. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions 52.212-3 - Offeror's Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with its offer.
