Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The RFQ number is DTCG80-03-Q-3FA331. This RFQ is issued under full and open competition. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336322, and the size standard is 750 employees. Requirement is for two (2) each Onan Admiral Series MDGDA, 75 kw generators. The Onan Admiral Series MDGDA, 75 kw generators have been chosen by the Coast Guard to be the only 75 kw generators rated at the 75kw power output for the required application that would not require restructuring of foundations and interference removal in the engine room of the vessel. Delivery will be FOB destination to Coast Guard Yard, Baltimore Maryland by 15 January 2003. Acceptance of the units will be at destination. All interested, responsible, firms should submit their quotation no later than November 27, 2002, 12:00 p.m. EDT, to U.S. Coast Guard, MLCLANT (vpl-4), 300 E. Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102, ATTN: Douglas G. Landau. Facsimile copies will be accepted at (757) 628-4676. The contractor shall extend to the government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the government. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order. The Government anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this synopsis/solicitation will offer the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-2-Evaluation of quotations or offers. All vendors are to include with their quotes, a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, which may be downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov.
