Description
NA Defense Contracting Command-Washington on behalf of the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area for suppor t entitled: ?Research and Analytical Support for the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Scienses?. Such support should take the following forms: (a) provide appropriately training and experienced undergraduate and graduate stude nts, post-doctoral fellows and faculty for direct work on ARI research, analysis, and studies; (b) provide faculty to supervise students to perform advanced research, analysis, and studies; (c) match faculty expertise to designated research and study needs within ARI; (d) provide research space (to include, when applicable, laboratory space) for conducting research required by the ARI program; and (e) provide a pool of subjects for research and studies where this is deemed necessary and mutually agreeable. The Consortium is a non-profit organization which includes the entire population of colleges and universities (and, thus, the graduate students and faculty) in the Washington DC area. In combination, these colleges/universities have graduate programs in all disciplines pertinent to the ARI interests: various fields of psychology, operations research, statistics, economics, computer science, sociology, and information systems, to mention the most critical. There is NO solicitation document. This notice is NOT a request for quotes. Capability statements must be recei ved by this office within 45 days from publication of this notice.
