NOUN: Connecting Link; NSN: 3040-00-361-2781NZ; PN: 4024316;4054118;4052484;QTY: 15,834 U/I: Each; DELIVERY: 500 ea 30 DARO; 3,427 ea 60 DARO; balance of 11,907 ea at rate of 1401 per month beginning 90 DARO to Tinker AFB OK;APPLICABLE TO: F100PW229; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 5.0 inches long X .635 inches wide; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Nickle Alloy; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Connecting links are attached to the augmentor nozzle lever. The function is to open and close the segments during augmentation. Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: 2 Dec 2002. Anticipated Award Date: 6 Jan 2003. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to approved sources. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
