- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The solicitation number is for F34601-03-R-49877. The solicitation is a request for quotations (RFP). Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM on 6 Dec 2002. Predominant material or manufacture: Corrison resistant steel. FORM/FIT/FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS: The exciter unit provides a dual spark to the main and afterburner igniter plugs, which ignites the atomized fuel air mixture. This is accomplished by an intense electrical spark. Only those sources listed on the drawing or those pre-approved by the cognizant engineering office are approved to supply this item.
