- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation F5LGT123120100 is issued as a Request for Quote. (iii) This solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09 effective 30 Sep 2002. (iv) This requirement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit a quote. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 532111 and the size standard is $21.5 million. (v) There are two line items in this solicitation: CLIN 0001; Item: PROVIDE FULL/INTERMEDIATE SIZE, 4-DOOR VEHICLES, TYPE C; Quantity: 59; Unit of Measure: Each. CLIN 0002; Item: PROVIDE CARGO VAN; Quantity: 1; Unit of Measure: Each. (vi) The Government intends to issue a Not to Exceed (NTE) Purchase Order (PO) for the above line items. The vehicles will be driven from Randolph AFB, TX to Laughlin AFB, TX, approximately 170 miles by the Government. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing motor oil, antifreeze, and similar items. The contractor shall perform all maintenance on the vehicles and will be responsible for emergency repairs and/or services. The contractor must be able to respond within 6 hours of notification for replacement vehicle(s) to Laughlin AFB. All vehicles must be non-smoking. All State and local laws and regulations are applicable and will be complied with by both parties. (vii) These vehicles will be required for 12 days with delivery on 7 December 2002 by no later than (NLT) 10:00 a.m., and returned by 18 December 2002. Some vehicles may be returned before 18 December 2002 and will be billed only the days the vehicle is in possession of the Government. Delivery and return of the vehicles will made to Randolph AFB, Texas, Bldg 45 Supply Hazmat Parking Lot on the South Ramp. AETC/IG will assist the contractor with the delivery of vehicles if needed after 3:00p.m., 6 December 2002. Please contact the point of contact (POC) not later than 12:00 p.m., 5 December 2002. (viii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant Purchase Order (PO). If a copy of the provisions are needed, they can be found on http;//farsite.hill.af.mil: FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Oct 2000) is incorporated by reference. It is amended to read: Submit a dated offer to 47 CONS/LGCA, 171 Alabama Ave, Laughlin AFB TX 78843-5102, Fax (830) 298-4178, at or before 4:30 p.m. (1630) CST, 27 Nov 02. (ix) The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the requirements of this combined synopsis/solicitation, offers the lowest price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. (x) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items Alternate I (April 2002) with the quotation. (xi) FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition with the following addendum: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 2000). (xii) The FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (April 2001) (DEVIATION) applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference.
