Description: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a Pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to identify sources that can perform Flight Simulator maintenance service. Results will be used to aid the International American Forces Academy in identifying market availability to attain all parts, labor, supervision, and other items and services necessary to manage and perform Flight Simulator maintenance at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio Texas. The program currently consists of one (1) FRASCA 242 and one (1) AST Hawk Flight Training Simulator inclusive of computers and six (6) Personal Computer Aviation Training Devices (PCATDs). The primary tasks are: Flight Simulator Maintenance. Maintenance of Flight Simulator(s) and associated computer equipment shall be provided in accordance with all applicable manuals and directives. Hours of operation shall be eight (8) hours a day, five (5) days a week, Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks a year. PCATD. Maintenance of computer and software to include the NT-361 trainer (flight control console with rudder pedal subsystem) in accordance with all applicable manuals and directives. Hours of operation shall be eight (8) hours a day, five (5) days a week, Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks a year. The 37th Contracting Squadron (37 CONS), Lackland AFB, Texas anticipates a requirement for a Flight Simulator maintenance contract. The contractor shall ensure the Flight Simulators are kept in serviceable condition. The anticipated contract type is Requirements contract for Services with options. The duration of the contract, to include all options is anticipated to be three (3) years. The NAICS for this project is expected to be 811111 with a $6 million size standard. Small business concerns should also refer to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 9.6/ Contractor Team Arrangements, and FAR 19.1/ Size Standards. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr2000.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The following are specific considerations on which we would like you to think and comment: 1. Are there any unrealistic requirements/stipulations that would prevent your firm from responding to an RFP for this type of contract? 2. Based on the outlined requirement, is your company interested and capable of providing this service? This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation For Bid (IFB) or Request For Proposal (RFP), and is not considered a commitment by the government. The government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey.
