- Description
- The VA Roseburg Healthcare System intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to The Red Cross, Blood Services, to locally process and furnish, in a timely fashion (to include one hour emergency service), blood and blood products to VA Medical Center, Roseburg, OR. NAICS code 621991 applies. A contract for the period of January 1, 2003, to December 31, 2003 is anticipated. Interested parties have 10 days from publication of this synopsis to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 10 days or without sufficient information to enable the GOVERNMENT to determine that a firm is qualified and capable to perform contract requirements, will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the GOVERNMENT not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the GOVERNMENT.
