Description

Sources sought for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. If acequate responses are not received from HUBZone small business concerns, the acquisition may be solicited on an unrestricted basis. Responses must be in writing; facsimile or e-mail are acceptable. Please e-mail to charles.phillips@la.usda.gov. Facsimile number 318-473-7781. All responses must be received not later than 29 November 2002. As a minimum the following information is required: (1) Copy of certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone small business concern; (2) a positive staement as to your intention to submit an offer as a prime contractor on this solicitation; (3) evidence of experience in this typoe of work including contact points with their phone numbers, contract numbers, dollar values; (4) evidence of capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds. The work under this solicitation will be to repair approximately 1,237 feet of channel slope failures on four channels located on the east bank of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Methods of repair will be timber toewall and rock fill on approximetly 779 feet of channel; steel toewall and rock fill on approximately 365 feet of channel; and steel toewall and rock riprap on approximately 93 of channel. The estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code is 237990. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies and incidentials necessary to perform the work.
