- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requisition to acquire the following items: 2 ea. Bedplate Assembly; 1 ea. Muffler Cap; 1 ea. Outer Cover for Muffler Cap; 12 ea. Muffler Outer Cover Bolts; and 2 ea. Insulation for Muffler. These form Controllable Air Firing Valves (CAFV) bedplates are for use on Seawolf and Virginia Class Submarines. The items are made out of titanium and are part of an air turbine pump ejection system for torpedoes. First Article Testing is required for those firms which have not manufactured this item within the last 5 years. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation is expected to be on our web page by 22 November 2002. NAICS: 336419. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
