Description
NA This proposed procurement is a competitive 8(a) Request for Proposal. Only 8(a) SBA certified contractors may bid. NAICS 236210(Industrial Building Construction)/ SIC Code 1541, size standard $28,500,000. Estimated cost of construction is between $5-$10 Million. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. This project is located at Douglas, AZ (a very remote location in Cochise County). The bidders attention is directed to the Corp of Engineer Albuquerque District?s Website at www.spa.usace.army.mil and Section 00100 in the Request for Proposal for information regarding the tour of this site. The site tour plans will be put on the website on 20 Nov. 2002. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 06 Dec 2002 with proposals due by 09 Jan 20 03. This solicitation will be issued in CD-Rom format; it will not be issued on paper. Douglas Border Patrol Station Vehicle Maintenance Shop, Phase II: Work consists of construction of supplemental facilities for the new Douglas Border Patrol Station. The facilities include a new maintenance building, fuel island, car wash, utilities, site work and paving. The maintenance building is CMU block and metal frame construction. The project will also include phased construction of the fuel island, car wash, and associated facilities early in the construction period. This project will be advertised as an competitive 8(a), negotiated Request for Proposal. The award will be made to the offeror proposing the ?Best Value? to the Government. All responsible 8(a) offerors may submit a bid. Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government contract award. Additionally a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED USING ELECTRONIC BID SETS (EBS) AND PROVIDED ON COMPACT DISKS-READ ONLY (CED-ROM) AT NO CHARGE TO ALL REGISTERED PLANHOLDERS. Any prospective bidder intere sted in bidding must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List. If you are not registered the U.S. Government is not respon-sible for providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders should register themselves on the Intern et.
