- Description
- This is a requirement for Overhaul. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 Leading Edge Flap Power Drive Unit. A firm fixed price Requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be one year with six one-year options. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN 1650-01-283-4054; P/N: 16M002-807; Noun: Leading Edge Flap Power Drive Unit; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Basic Year Quantity: 12 each; Option I Quantity: 12 each; Option II Quantity: 12 each; Option III Quantity: 12 each; Option IV Quantity: 12 each; Option V Quantity: 12 each; Option VI Quantity: 12 each. Item 0002: Over and Above Work; Item 0003: Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment. Qualification requirements apply. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 05 Dec 2002. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
