- NOUN: Thermocouple, IMMERS; NSN: 6685-01-323-3451NZ; PN: 4077612; QYT: 2584 or 5168 or 7752; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: JAN 2003 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW100/200/220E/229 Engines; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: approximately 7 3/4 inches long x 1/2 inch wide x 1/2 inch deep; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: SST; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: provides mil/volts reading representative of turbine temperature of the F100 engine. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 15 Nov 2002. Anticipated award date: 2 Jan 2003. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. Sources must be qualified prior to being comsidered for award. Qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 84 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) do not apply. The solicitation will provide an addressd to obtain further information regarding QR's. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Rosemount Aerospace Inc. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
