Item 0001 NSN: 4710-01-474-5719RV P/N: 819147-01, DESCRIPTION: The Tube Assembly is ?Z? shaped and connects to the oil supply line at turbine exhaust strut and turbine rear bearing. SIZE/DIMENSION Length is 4.639? Max and 4.579? Min (without connectors) Outside diameter is 0.370? Min to 0.380? Max. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL/FUNCTION: Consists of AMS 5581, Type 2 NI Alloy; The function of the tube assembly is to transfer engine oil from exhaust case strut to #6 bearing. . QTY: Range of 51 max, 41 med, and 21 min. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: Oct. 2003. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 05 Dec. 2002. This item is competitive. Data package will be provided and First Article requirements will apply. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, can be considered approved sources for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality, can be considered approved sources for this item. The anticipated award date is February 2003. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corp. Note: An Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
